The Devin Phillips Octet- Summertime

Last Sunday I played a gig with with Devin Phillips' octet. The lineup was alto, tenor, trumpet, bone, bari, piano, bass and drums. I did Summertime as a Tane-esque alto feature.

Here it is:

Thanks Colin,

It was recorded with a Zoom H4 at 33mhz. I just got one a few weeks ago and actually used it again tonight (the recording will be posted). It is sooo much better than a mini-disk recorder, plus it's great not to have to do a real-time dump. I haven't even tried recording at 48 or 96mhz yet.

Colin,
I'm flattered. I don't know if anyone's transcribed one of my solos before. If you do finish it I'd love a copy.

You can download that solo from my MySpace page: myspace.com/davidvaldez2

It's listed as Summertrane.

Thanks a lot.

Hey David,
I just checked out your myspace page and it seems that there's no link to download the file?...anything you can do?

Colin,
I don't know why there's no link.

Can't you just right click on the link on Casa Valdez and then SAVE AS.... to your desktop? That works for me.

If not send my you email and I'll see if I can compress it to fit.
