David, isn't that band technically a sextet?
The posters were made before we added a trumpeter.
Long Yellow Road is a favorite of mine. Really glad to see someone play it. The material on those old Toshiko Mariano Quartet albums is fantastic.
Sounding good. Pere Soto's tunes are always very interesting as well.
We also played Toshiko's Elegy, which Pere transcribed. I'm planning to have him transcribed 'When You Meet Her' next. That album was a big influence on my concept, some of Mariano's best recorded playing.
Definitely some of my favorite Mariano as well.
