Man... after I said hell yes to darker setups, I simply can't stand this sort of poppy, thin, baffled, metal-mouthpiece saxophone sound anymore... even if it's from a great player like Potter. It is indeed a great solo, but I had to stop in the middle. Thanks for posting, though.

is an Otto Link tone master considered a "darker setup?"
Maybe... if you tamper with the chamber, curve and gets yourself a bigger-than-average tip.
this is one of the rare Chris Potter recordings that actually made me feel better about my jazz playing.
